Regular Dusting
Wipe the outside and inside of the box regularly with a soft, dry, lint‑free cloth to remove dust. This helps preserve both the finish and the cow‑design lid without causing micro‑scratches.
Gentle Cleaning for Stains
If there are stains or sticky spots (especially from food), use a slightly damp cloth with mild soap. Immediately follow up with a dry cloth — do not soak or immerse the box in water. Water damage can harm the finish, warp the material, or fade the design.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals / Abrasives
Do not use strong detergents, bleach, or abrasive scrubbers/pads. These can peel or degrade the painted/design lid and damage the box surface. Use only gentle, mild cleaning agents.
Protect From Moisture & Humidity
Keep the box in a dry place. Exposure to humidity or moisture can cause warping, swelling, or mould, especially with wooden or wood‑composite boxes. If any part of the box gets wet, dry it immediately.
Avoid Direct Sunlight & Heat Sources
Do not place the box where it will receive strong, direct sunlight for long periods (e.g., near a window or heater). UV rays can cause fading of the paint/design and cause heat‑warping or damage to the lid and box.
Handle the Lid with Care
The cow design lid will likely be more delicate (painting/printing or embossing). Avoid dragging or scraping it against rough surfaces, and don’t place heavy objects on top of it. Also, open the lid gently to avoid stressing hinges or joints.
Store Dry Fruits Properly
Make sure the dry fruits are completely dry before placing them inside; moisture in food can harm both the food and the interior of the box.
Use liners (wax paper / food‑safe wrap / parchment) if possible, so the box’s interior stays clean longer.
Close the lid properly after each use to protect contents from air, dust, and insects.
Occasional Conditioning or Waxing (for Wooden or Painted Surface Boxes)
If the box has a wooden base or wooden parts, occasionally treat it with a food-safe wood oil or beeswax polish to maintain sheen and prevent drying/cracking. Test a small inconspicuous area first to ensure compatibility with the finish.
Storage When Not in Use
If storing for longer periods, wrap in a soft cloth or place inside a dry plastic bag to protect from dust.
Store in a cool, dry, well‑ventilated area.
